The McMichael Phoenix edged the visiting South Stokes Sauras softball squad by a count of 7-6 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Phoenix meet the Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 27. McMichael will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Cedar Ridge (Hillsborough, NC).

The Sauras (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Vikings enter the Northwest 1A challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, North Stokes was nudged by Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC), 13-12, in a non-league challenge.
