The Taylorsville Tartars (Taylorsville, MS) softball routed the visiting Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS), 8-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Tartars (11-8) will now prepare for their bout against Puckett (Puckett, MS). The Wolves go into the 2A Region 5 bout with a 10-5 record. In their last bout, Puckett held off Enterprise (Enterprise, MS), 8-1, in a league bout.

The Red Devils now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Laurel for a non-league bout on Monday, March 29. Stringer will confront a Golden Tornadoes squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to South Jones (Ellisville, MS). The Golden Tornadoes record now stands at 1-3.
