March 27, 2024: Roseburg, OR 97470 Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs (Roseburg, OR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Umpqua Valley Christian upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Lowell (Lowell, OR) to battle the Devils in a 2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 test on Monday, April 1. The Devils come into the test with a record of 0-7.
With the defeat, Grant Union falls to 2-4 on the season. The Prospectors travel to Elgin (Elgin, OR) to battle the Huskies in a 2A/1A-SD7 Special District 7 test on Tuesday, April 2. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 0-0.
