Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines confront the A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 28. Polk County will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Rockets enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 4-0 league win over Erwin (Asheville, NC).

The Highlanders now possess a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Murphy for a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge on Thursday, March 28. Highlands will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-1.
