Brighton Bengals (Salt Lake City, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Corner Canyon Chargers (Draper, UT), 20-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Bengals now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to West for a 5A Region 6 challenge on Thursday, March 28. Brighton will face a Panthers squad coming off a 13-5 league win over Highland (Salt Lake City, UT). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Corner Canyon falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Chargers host Bingham (South Jordan, UT) to face the Miners in a 6A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Miners enter the challenge with a record of 7-1.
