Alabama High School Baseball - Normal West holds off Russellville
March 27, 2025: Russellville, AL 35653 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL) and the host Russellville Golden Tigers (Russellville, AL), witnessed Normal West's baseball team knock off Russellville by a count of 6-2.
The Wildcats now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Centennial for a Big Twelve challenge on Monday, March 31. Normal West will clash with a Chargers team coming off a 0-0 non-league Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 2-3.
With the defeat, Russellville drops to 18-5 on the year. The Golden tigers travel to Lawrence County (Moulton, AL) to clash with the Red Devils in a 5A Area 14 challenge on Tuesday, April 1. The Red Devils go into the challenge with a record of 16-7. Lawrence County won 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Homewood (Homewood, AL)
