West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad nip the host Pottsville Crimson Tide (Pottsville, PA), 6-5 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, West Scranton advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Invaders host Old Forge (Old Forge, PA) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Sunday, March 30. The Blue Devils come into the match with a record of 1-1. Old Forge lost 11-3 in their recent non-league match against Pittston (Pittston, PA)

The Crimson Tide now have a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine Grove for a Schuylkill County 1 match on Tuesday, April 1. Pottsville will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Tulpehocken (Bernville, PA). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-3.
