California High School Baseball - Northview holds off Layton
March 27, 2025: Covina, CA 91722 The Northview Vikings baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Layton Lancers to 5 in the Vikings non-league win on Thursday.
The Vikings now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Covina for a test on Tuesday, April 1. Northview will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Rancho Cucamonga (Rancho Cucamonga, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-7.
With the defeat, Layton drops to 1-2 on the year. The Lancers travel to Capistrano Valley Christian (San Juan Capistrano, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league test on Friday, March 28. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 2-2. Capistrano Valley Christian lost 6-4 in their recent non-league test against West Linn (West Linn, OR)
