The Montwood Rams routed the host Coronado Thunderbirds softball squad by a final score of 7-2 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Rams (11-13) will now prepare for their battle against Americas (El Paso, TX). The Trail Blazers go into the 6A Region I District 1 battle with a 11-12 record. In their last battle, Americas was routed by Socorro (El Paso, TX), 17-9, in a league battle.

The Thunderbirds now possess a 5-17 record. They play next when they host Franklin for a 6A Region I District 1 battle on Friday, March 31. Coronado will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 18-6 league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 4-17.
