Illinois High School Softball - Riverside-Brookfield bounces Shepard
March 28, 2023: Riverside, IL 60546 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs (Riverside, IL) and the visiting Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), saw Riverside-Brookfield's softball squad nip Shepard by a count of 10-4.
The Bulldogs now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Rosary for a non-league match on Friday, March 31. Riverside-Brookfield will face a Royals squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Newark (Newark, IL). The Royals record now stands at 0-4.
With the loss, Shepard falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Astros travel to Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL) to face the Cardinals in a South Suburban match on Monday, April 3. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 0-1.
