In Thursday's league challenge, the Perry Pumas (Gilbert, AZ) baseball squad edged the visiting Basha Bears (Chandler, AZ), by a final score of 8-7.

With the win, Perry upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Pumas travel to Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ) to battle the Mountain Lions in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 1. The Mountain Lions come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Mountain Ridge lost 13-1 in their recent league challenge against Pinnacle (Phoenix, AZ)
