Georgia High School Soccer - Pickens trounced by Jackson County
March 28, 2024: Jasper, GA 30143 In Thursday's non-league game, the Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA) soccer squad overwhelmed the host Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA), by a final score of 11-1.
The Panthers (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA). The Longhorns enter the 6A Region 8 challenge with a 8-8 record. In their last challenge, Lanier topped Shiloh (Snellville, GA), 5-2, in a league challenge.
The Dragons now have a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Adairsville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Pickens will confront a Tigers team coming off a 7-0 league win over Coahulla Creek (Dalton, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 11-3.
