March 28, 2024: Solon, IA 52333 The Solon Spartans (Solon, IA) soccer bounced the visiting Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA), 6-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.
With the victory, Solon moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Spartans host Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA) to battle the Mustangs in a WaMaC-East bout on Tuesday, April 2. The Mustangs enter the bout with a record of 0-2. Mt. Vernon lost 4-3 in their recent non-league bout against Anamosa (Anamosa, IA)
In their next game, the Golden Hawks battle the West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA) in a River Valley bout, on Monday, April 1. Mid-Prairie will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Comets enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA).
