Arkansas High School Softball - Woodlawn holds off Bauxite
March 28, 2024: Rison, AR 71665 The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Woodlawn Bears (Rison, AR) and the visiting Bauxite Miners (Bauxite, AR), saw Woodlawn's softball squad nip Bauxite by a count of 3-1.
The Bears now sport a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ouachita for a 2A Region 8 match on Friday, March 29. Woodlawn will face a Warriors squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Arkadelphia (Arkadelphia, AR). The Warriors record now stands at 0-5.
With the loss, Bauxite falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Miners host Magnet Cove (Malvern, AR) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Friday, March 29. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 10-3. Magnet Cove won 19-0 in their recent non-league match against Murfreesboro (Murfreesboro, AR)
