Texas High School Softball - Montgomery bounces Rudder
March 28, 2024: Montgomery, TX 77356 Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX) and the visiting Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX), witnessed Montgomery's softball squad prevail over Rudder by a count of 24-6.
The Bears now sport a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Creek for a 5A Region III District 21 match on Tuesday, April 2. Montgomery will meet a Lions squad coming off a 5-2 league win over College Station (College Station, TX). The Lions record now stands at 22-6.
With the loss, Rudder moves to 5-14 on the season. The Rangers host Magnolia West (Magnolia, TX) to meet the Mustangs in a 5A Region III District 21 match on Tuesday, April 2. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 16-12. Magnolia West lost 21-14 in their recent league match against A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX)
