March 28, 2024: Millers Creek, NC 28651 The West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) softball routed the visiting North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC), 10-0 in Thursday's league bout.
The Blackhawks (7-0) will now prepare for their bout against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles go into the Foothills 2A bout with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, Wilkes Central was routed by Forbush (East Bend, NC), 15-0, in a league bout.
The Vikings now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Surry Central for a Foothills 2A bout on Monday, April 1.
