Kansas High School Softball - Rock Creek holds off Wamego
March 28, 2024: Wamego, KS 66547 The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Rock Creek Mustangs (St. George, KS) and the host Wamego Red Raiders (Wamego, KS), saw Rock Creek's softball squad nip Wamego by a count of 9-7.
The Mustangs now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Abilene for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 2. Rock Creek will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 26-7 non-league win over Hillsboro (Hillsboro, KS). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Wamego falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Red raiders travel to Clay Center (Clay Center, KS) to face the Tigers in a North Central Kansas match on Tuesday, April 2. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 1-1.
