Texas High School Softball - Weslaco bounces San Benito
March 28, 2024: San Benito, TX 78586 Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX), 18-3 in a league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 20-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harlingen for a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Weslaco will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 17-7 league win over Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 16-9.
With the loss, San Benito falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Hanna (Brownsville, TX) to face the Golden Eagles in a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 6-12. Hanna won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Rivera (Brownsville, TX)
