March 28, 2025: Marrero, LA 70072 The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting St. James Wildcats to 1 in the Hurricanes non-league win on Friday.
The Hurricanes now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Lafourche for a non-league test on Saturday, March 29. L.W. Higgins will clash with a Tarpons team coming off a 4-3 league win over Assumption (Napoleonville, LA). The Tarpons record now stands at 15-9.
With the defeat, St. James drops to 14-8 on the year. The Wildcats host John Ehret (Marrero, LA) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league test on Monday, March 31. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 8-19. John Ehret won 16-0 in their recent league test against West Jefferson (Harvey, LA)
