The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Northmont Thunderbolts (Clayton, OH) and the visiting Payton College Prep Grizzlies (Chicago, IL), saw Northmont's baseball team get by Payton College Prep by a tally of 5-4.

The Thunderbolts (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Carroll (Dayton, OH). The Patriots enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Carroll held off Troy Christian (Troy, OH), 7-0, in a non-league battle.
