The Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) softball routed the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 17-0 in Friday's league outing.

The Rams now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Wilkes for a Northwest 1A outing on Tuesday, April 1. Starmount will encounter a Cardinals team coming off a 15-0 league win over North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Alleghany moves to 0-10 on the season. The Trojans host North Wilkes (Hays, NC) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league outing on Monday, March 31.
