The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) and the host Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC), observed Piedmont's softball team get by Hickory Ridge by a tally of 6-2.

The Panthers (10-4) will now prepare for their bout against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets go into the Rocky River 2A/3A bout with a 1-12 record. In their last bout, Forest Hills was routed by Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC), 11-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Ragin' Bulls clash with the Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC) in a Greater Metro 4A bout, on Tuesday, April 1. Hickory Ridge will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record.
