In Friday's league test, the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), by a count of 11-1.

Next, the Indians meet the Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A test, on Tuesday, April 1. St. Stephens will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Greyhounds go into the test with a 0-9 record after their 25-0 league loss to West Iredell (Statesville, NC).

The Red Tornadoes (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Yellow Jackets go into the non-league test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Bessemer City was routed by Burns (Lawndale, NC), 19-0, in a league test.
