Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Luling Eagles (Luling, TX), 16-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Poth upgrades its record to 9-6 on the year. The Pirates travel to Nixon-Smiley (Nixon, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 3A Region IV District 27 game on Tuesday, April 1. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 4-9. Nixon-Smiley won 19-5 in their recent league bout against Karnes City (Karnes City, TX)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 27 bout, on Tuesday, April 1. Luling will attempt to advance on its 10-11 season record.
