North Carolina High School Lacrosse - Willow Spring nips Pinecrest
March 28, 2026: Southern Pines, NC 28387 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Willow Spring Storm lacrosse squad scored a tight 7-6 triumph over the Pinecrest Patriots.
The Storm (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Apex Friendship (Apex, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Apex Friendship tipped Green Level (Cary, NC), 6-0, in a non-league game.
The Patriots now have a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union Pines for a non-league game on Tuesday, March 31. Pinecrest will play a Vikings team coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.
