The Springfield Tigers softball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Struthers Wildcats to 6 in the Tigers non-league win on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Memorial for a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet battle on Monday, March 30. Springfield will confront a Red Devils team coming off a 26-5 league loss to Waterloo (Atwater, OH). The Red Devils record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Struthers moves to 0-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Girard (Girard, OH) to meet the Indians in a Northeast Eight Athletic challenge on Monday, March 30. The Indians go into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Girard lost 12-9 in their recent league challenge against South Range (Canfield, OH)
