California High School Volleyball - East Union Sierra
March 29, 2022: Manteca, CA 95337 The Sierra Timberwolves topped the visiting East Union Lancers volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Tuesday's league test.
The Timberwolves now have a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kimball for a Valley Oak test on Thursday, March 31. Sierra will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Manteca (Manteca, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-9.
The Lancers (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Weston Ranch (Stockton, CA). The Cougars enter the Valley Oak test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Weston Ranch was knocked off by Lathrop (Lathrop, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
Match Summary
We had a good night overall. Communication was strong, our passes were controlled, and we ran some nice plays for kills. However, service errors continue to plague us – we had 16 on the night.
Brian Huynh controlled the floor and contributed from every position in the rotation. The boys really depend on his consistent play and leadership. Tonight was another solid night for him.
David Caamano continues to hit the ball hard, but also recorded a solid night receiving the ball. He is so exciting to watch.
Ajay Grewal and Arshdeep both put in strong nights in the middle. Their blocks and hits help set the tone.
