East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 1-0 in a league test.

With the win, East Rowan upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Mustangs host Carson (China Grove, NC) to battle the Cougars in a South Piedmont 3A test on Friday, March 31. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 5-6. Carson lost 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC)

With the defeat, Carson falls to 5-5 on the season. The Cougars host Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to battle the Ragin' Bulls in a non-league test on Thursday, March 30.
