March 29, 2024: Poplar Grove, IL 61065 The North Boone Vikings softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Forreston Cardinals to 3 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, North Boone moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Vikings host Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL) to play the Rockets in a Big Northern game on Monday, April 1. The Rockets come into the game with a record of 3-3. Rock Falls lost 14-8 in their recent non-league game against Geneseo (Geneseo, IL)
In their next game, the Cardinals play the Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL) in a NUIC South game, on Tuesday, April 2. Forreston will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Clippers come into the game with a 3-4 record after their 14-2 non-league loss to Dakota (Dakota, IL).
