Mississippi High School Baseball - Shannon loses to Mooreville
March 29, 2025: Mooreville, MS 38857 Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS), 12-2 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Mooreville advances its record to 14-5 on the season. The Troopers host North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS) to battle the Vikings in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 1. The Vikings come into the match with a record of 10-9. North Pontotoc won 4-1 in their recent non-league match against West Union (Myrtle, MS)
The Red Raiders now have a 7-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Itawamba Agricultural for a 4A Region 1 match on Tuesday, April 1. Shannon will battle a Indians squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Ripley (Ripley, MS). The Indians record now stands at 16-7.
