Arkansas High School Softball - Buffalo Island Central succumbs to Izard County
March 29, 2025: Monette, AR 72447 In Saturday's non-league test, the Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR) softball squad overwhelmed the host Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR), by a tally of 11-0.
Next, the Cougars clash with the Tuckerman Bulldogs (Tuckerman, AR) in a 2A Region 2 test, on Monday, March 31. Izard County will attempt to advance on its 7-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 10-4 record after their 8-1 non-league win over Brookland (Brookland, AR).
The Mustangs (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR). The Thunderbirds go into the 2A Region 3 test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Cross County prevailed over Stuttgart (Stuttgart, AR), 18-1, in a non-league test.
