The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) and the host Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV), observed Hoover's softball team prevail over Midland Trail by a tally of 12-4.

The Huskies (7-2) will now prepare for their bout against Nitro (Nitro, WV). The Wildcats go into the Cardinal bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Nitro was routed by Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV), 7-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Gilmer County Titans (Glenville, WV) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 31. Midland Trail will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 14-2 non-league win over Tucker County (Hambleton, WV).
