Brookland Bearcats (Brookland, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Trumann Wildcats (Trumann, AR), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bryant for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 2. Brookland will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Baptist Prep (Little Rock, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Trumann falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Pocahontas (Pocahontas, AR) to battle the Redskins in a 4A-3 challenge on Tuesday, April 6. The Redskins enter the challenge with a record of 2-0.
