In Wednesday's non-league contest, the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) softball team held off the visiting East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), by a margin of 13-12.

With the triumph, North Gaston moves its record to 6-4 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC) to play the Storm in a Big South 3A contest on Friday, April 1. The Storm come into the contest with a record of 7-2. Stuart W. Cramer won 3-2 in their recent league contest against Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC)
