Virginia High School Soccer - Woodside overwhelmed by New Kent
March 30, 2023: New Kent, VA 23124 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA) and the visiting Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA), saw New Kent's soccer squad beat Woodside by a margin of 4-0.
The Trojans now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to York for a Bay Rivers test on Thursday, April 13. New Kent will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, Woodside drops to 2-5 on the season. The Wolverines host Gloucester (Gloucester, VA) to battle the Dukes in a Peninsula bout on Tuesday, April 11. The Dukes enter the bout with a record of 2-2. Gloucester lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Maury (Norfolk, VA)
