Virginia High School Baseball - Independence wallops Nansemond River
March 30, 2024: Ashburn, VA Independence (Ashburn, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), 12-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The host St. John's (Washington, DC) to battle the Cadets in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 3. The Cadets come into the test with a record of 8-2. St. John's won 1-0 in their recent league test against Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD)
With the defeat, Nansemond River falls to 1-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to Godwin (Richmond, VA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, March 30. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 3-3. Godwin won 10-0 in their recent league test against J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA)
