New Mexico High School Baseball - Tohatchi gets by Northwest

March 30, 2024: Shiprock, NM 87420

Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Northwest Falcons (Shiprock, NM), 7-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, Tohatchi upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to Thoreau (Thoreau, NM) to battle the Hawks in a 3A District 1 test on Tuesday, April 2. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 1-5. Thoreau won 16-8 in their recent non-league test against Navajo Pine (Navajo, NM)

With the defeat, Northwest falls to 2-2 on the season. The Falcons host Hozho Academy (Gallup, NM) to battle the Wolves in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 9. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 8-2. Hozho Academy won 15-14 in their recent non-league test against Zuni (Zuni, NM)
