Indiana High School Softball - Cathedral bounces Portage

March 30, 2024: Portage, IN 46368

Cathedral Fighting Irish (Indianapolis, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Portage Indians (Portage, IN), 16-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Fighting Irish now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Silver Creek for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. Cathedral will face a Dragons squad coming off a 11-6 non-league loss to Assumption (Louisville, KY). The Dragons record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Portage falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Merrillville (Merrillville, IN) to face the Pirates in a Duneland challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
