In Friday's league challenge, the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the host Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), by a final score of 23-0.

With the win, North Stanly upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Comets travel to Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC) to battle the Tigers in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Mount Pleasant won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Cox Mill (Concord, NC)

With the defeat, Albemarle falls to 2-7 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Union Academy (Monroe, NC) to battle the Cardinals in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Union Academy won 9-3 in their recent league challenge against South Stanly (Norwood, NC)
