Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA), 10-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Miners now own a 11-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Red Bluff for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 31. Yreka will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 19-6 league loss to Chico (Chico, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Corning falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Gridley (Gridley, CA) to battle the Bulldogs in a Butte View challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 7-2.
