Yamhill-Carlton Tigers (Yamhill, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Homedale Trojans (Homedale, ID), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stayton for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 5. Yamhill-Carlton will face a Eagles squad coming off a 18-14 non-league win over Marist (Eugene, OR). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Homedale falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Fruitland (Fruitland, ID) to face the Grizzlies in a 3A Snake River Valley challenge on Monday, April 3. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Fruitland lost 13-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Vallivue (Caldwell, ID)
