March 31, 2023: Kingwood, TX 77339 Kingwood Park Panthers (Kingwood, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX), 3-0 in a league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dayton for a 5A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, April 4. Kingwood Park will battle a Broncos squad coming off a 8-6 league loss to Huntsville (Huntsville, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 13-13.
With the loss, Lufkin falls to 14-11 on the campaign. The Panthers host Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX) to battle the Dragons in a 5A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 7-7. Nacogdoches lost 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Porter (Porter, TX)
