Texas High School Softball - The Woodlands bounces New Caney
March 31, 2023: The Woodlands, TX 77381 The crowd at Friday's league match between the The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX) and the visiting New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX), saw The Woodlands's softball squad nip New Caney by a count of 9-5.
The Highlanders now sport a 16-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Conroe for a 6A Region II District 13 match on Tuesday, April 4. The Woodlands will face a Tigers squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Willis (Willis, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 15-6.
With the loss, New Caney falls to 16-10 on the season. The Eagles host Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX) to meet the War Eagles in a 6A Region II District 13 battle on Tuesday, April 4. The War Eagles go into the battle with a record of 14-7. Oak Ridge lost 9-5 in their recent league battle against The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX)
