Trumann Wildcats (Trumann, AR) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR), 5-4 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Trumann advances its record to 3-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Lonoke (Lonoke, AR) to battle the Jackrabbits in a 4A Region 6 match on Tuesday, April 1. The Jackrabbits come into the match with a record of 6-8. Lonoke won 10-1 in their recent non-league match against Monticello (Monticello, AR)

The Warriors now have a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bay for a 2A Region 3 match on Thursday, April 3. East Poinsett County will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 13-4 league loss to Corning (Corning, AR). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-6.
