Lapel Bulldogs (Lapel, IN) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad nip the host New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), 3-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Lapel advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, IN) to face the Cougars in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 0-0.

Next, the Trojans face the Pendleton Heights Arabians (Pendleton, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage battle, on Tuesday, April 1. New Castle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
