March 31, 2025: Benton, LA 71006 Benton Tigers (Benton, LA) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Zwolle Hawks (Zwolle, LA), 7-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Benton improves its record to 16-6 on the year. The Tigers travel to Byrd (Shreveport, LA) to play the Yellow Jackets in a 5A District 1 game on Tuesday, April 1. The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a record of 4-11. Byrd lost 13-3 in their recent league game against Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA)
The Hawks now hold a 15-9 record. They play next when they host Avoyelles for a non-league game on Tuesday, April 1. Zwolle will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 23-0 non-league loss to Kinder (Kinder, LA). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-17.
