Merced Bears (Merced, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pitman Pride (Turlock, CA), 5-0 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to San Benito for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 9.

With the loss, Pitman falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Pride host Atwater (Atwater, CA) to face the Falcons in a Central California Conference challenge on Thursday, April 2. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 8-5.
