The Clayton Comets routed the visiting East Wake Warriors softball squad by a final score of 12-1 in Thursday's league battle.

The Comets (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Rams go into the Greater Neuse 3A battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Cleveland topped Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC), 18-0, in a league battle.

The Warriors now possess a 1-4 record. They play next when they host West Johnston for a Greater Neuse 3A battle on Tuesday, April 6. East Wake will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-4 league loss to South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-2.
