April 1, 2023: Newtown Square, PA 19073 Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA) boosters exited the stadium content Saturday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the visiting St. Joseph's Prep Hawks (Philadelphia, PA), 9-8 in a non-league battle.
The Fightin' Tigers now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Holy Ghost Prep for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 4. Marple Newtown will clash with a Firebirds squad coming off a 15-8 non-league loss to Upper Merion Area (King of Prussia, PA). The Firebirds record now stands at 3-3.
In their next game, the Hawks clash with the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls (Philadelphia, PA) in a Catholic battle, on Wednesday, April 5. St. Joseph's Prep will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Raiders and Ragdolls come into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 19-4 league loss to Lansdale Catholic (Lansdale, PA).
