April 1, 2023: Hampton, TN 37658 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, TN) and the visiting Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders (Gatlinburg, TN), saw Hampton's softball squad nip Gatlinburg-Pittman by a count of 5-4.
The Bulldogs now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Johnson County for a non-league match on Monday, April 3.
With the loss, Gatlinburg-Pittman falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Union County (Maynardville, TN) to face the Patriots in a 2A District 2 match on Tuesday, April 4. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 3-3. Union County won 8-5 in their recent non-league match against Karns (Knoxville, TN)
